Here are a collection of images which are from artists, books, or places I've worked where they have provided specific inspiration.
Here's my god-daughter at my mum's 60th cutting up some strawberries.
I love to take photo's (as we know) and really like this as my favourite part of working with food and people is to train them and see what they can do and improve it! I love to see happy little faces improving themselves for the greater good and doing a good job. I am a BIG GEEK at heart. I think this pic perfectly sums up some simple enjoyment. Mwah-Bellissimo!
I'm that annoying miss motivator...think it's from the running routes ahaha Xxx
Homemade Sicilian ricotta pastry just outside of Trapani. Still Warm when we were leaving the old train station which has been converted into a wine producer.
This is from an open studios at Second Floor Studios whilst it was led by Matthew and Nichole, and is in the studios of Helen Carnac and David Gates. This is Helen Carnacs beautiful plate.
I love this photo of Iris. No more needs to be said.
Alleyway leading to a hidden acclaimed glass blowers in Murano.
I love reading this. I have had it for a long time now and everytime I look at it it brings me so many thoughts. About plagiarism, originality, ideas and 'being creative'. It is from a Ferran Adria book.
Loved the unusual packaging design on this Scandanavian award winning chocolate at The Chocolate Show.
My pistachio macaroon station :)
Tempering chocolate for some blood orange tea cakes for my portfolio. Yay!
Award winning patisserie in Palermo
Nutmeg was one of the delicious and unusual flavour pairings which i'd never tried in ice-cream.
I travelled specifically to Noto for this patisserie, it was un-real. As was Noto, I was not let down at-all-Thank you!
I love the cups.
I love the shapes in Palermo. Another well known patisserie. After asking what were the favourites I chose this sausage one. Bloody hell, amazing. Think I had to stop going back after the fourth time. haha!! 'Lucky' I had my running stuff with me!
So I went to visit a gelato shop i'd read about but it had closed! Owwww!! But luckily I found this gem (one door closes and all that) Yum! I was a gelato-in-a-brioche-bun virgin until I came here. And here is where I came back often. Wowzers.
Recommended by a lovely girl I met in Palermo. Speaks for itself I think!! :)
